Sage
Sage is a hardy herb that is a cinch to grow in
a pot or in the ground. The soft, grey-green
leaves are strongly flavoured and go particularly
well with meat dishes and in stuffings.
Some recipes in this book that feature sage:
• Creamy chicken and mushroom soup
with rocket pesto
• Garlic and sage chicken with squash
and feta salad
kitchen; the dried leaves have a stronger taste.
Some recipes in this book that feature oregano:
• Oregano and lemon chicken with
Greek salad
• Roast capsicum and tomato salad
• Baked ricotta with roast capsicum and tomato
salad
winter dishes such as casseroles or soups,
or sprinkled over roast potatoes, will add
another dimension of flavour.
