Eusebius also relates its fulfillment:--<br />

"The whole body, however, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> church at<br />

Jerusalem, having been comm<strong>and</strong>ed by a divine<br />

revelation, given to men <strong>of</strong> approved piety <strong>the</strong>re<br />

before <strong>the</strong> war, removed from <strong>the</strong> city, <strong>and</strong> dwelt at<br />

a certain town beyond <strong>the</strong> Jordan, called Pella.<br />

Here, those that believed in Christ, having removed<br />

from Jerusalem, as if holy men had entirely<br />

ab<strong>and</strong>oned <strong>the</strong> royal city itself, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> whole l<strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> Judea; <strong>the</strong> divine justice for <strong>the</strong>ir crimes against<br />

Christ <strong>and</strong> his apostles, finally overtook <strong>the</strong>m,<br />

totally destroying <strong>the</strong> whole generation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se<br />

evil-doers from <strong>the</strong> earth."[9]<br />

3. So imminent was <strong>the</strong> danger when this sign<br />

should be seen that not a moment was to be lost.<br />

He that was upon <strong>the</strong> housetop could not even<br />

come down to take a single article form his house.<br />

The man that was in <strong>the</strong> field was forbidden to<br />

return to <strong>the</strong> house for his clo<strong>the</strong>s. Not a moment<br />

was to be lost; <strong>the</strong>y must flee as <strong>the</strong>y were, <strong>and</strong> flee<br />
