Alasco <strong>and</strong> the other m<strong>in</strong>isters of the foreign<br />
congregations <strong>in</strong>to a body corporate. The<br />
affairs of each congregation were managed by<br />
a m<strong>in</strong>ister, rul<strong>in</strong>g elders <strong>and</strong> deacons. The<br />
oversight of all was committed to Alasco as<br />
super<strong>in</strong>tendent. He had greater trouble but no<br />
more authority than the others, <strong>and</strong> was subject<br />
equally with them to the discipl<strong>in</strong>e of the,<br />
Church. Although he allowed no superiority of<br />
office or authority to super<strong>in</strong>tendents, he<br />
considered that they were of Div<strong>in</strong>e<br />
appo<strong>in</strong>tment, <strong>and</strong> that Peter held this rank<br />
