1.0 LIEBERT EQU<strong>IP</strong>MENT COMPATIBILITY<br />

1.1 Connectivity to Liebert IntelliSlot Using <strong>Modbus</strong> <strong>485</strong>, <strong>Modbus</strong> <strong>IP</strong> or <strong>BACnet</strong> <strong>IP</strong><br />

This publication describes the <strong>Modbus</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>BACnet</strong> communications protocols available for<br />

communication with Emerson Network Power equipment. Included are the Liebert IntelliSlot<br />

<strong>Modbus</strong> <strong>485</strong>, <strong>Modbus</strong> <strong>IP</strong> <strong>and</strong> the <strong>BACnet</strong> <strong>IP</strong> communications cards.<br />

• The <strong>Modbus</strong> information includes implementation basics, supported types, frame format, function<br />

code support <strong>and</strong> similar subjects.<br />

• The <strong>BACnet</strong> information includes the <strong>BACnet</strong> service listing, object types, device objects, analog<br />

objects, binary objects, multistate objects <strong>and</strong> <strong>BACnet</strong> engineering units.<br />

1.2 Compatibility with Liebert Equipment<br />

Table 1 shows the type of Liebert IntelliSlot <strong>Modbus</strong> <strong>485</strong>, <strong>Modbus</strong> <strong>IP</strong> or <strong>BACnet</strong> <strong>IP</strong> card required for<br />

selected Liebert products.<br />
