Jeff Sommers is an Associate Professor of English at West Chester University.<br />

He is editor of Teach<strong>in</strong>g English <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Two-Year College <strong>and</strong> 2012 w<strong>in</strong>ner of NC-<br />

TE’s Nell Braddock Service Award.<br />

Scott Wagar received his Ph.D. <strong>in</strong> <strong>Composition</strong> <strong>and</strong> Rhetoric from Miami University,<br />

where he teaches courses <strong>in</strong> rhetoric <strong>and</strong> writ<strong>in</strong>g. His research exam<strong>in</strong>es<br />

composition <strong>the</strong>ory <strong>and</strong> pedagogy as well as <strong>the</strong> rhetoric of contemporary spirituality.<br />

Chris Warnick is an Associate Professor at <strong>the</strong> College of Charleston, where<br />

he teaches courses <strong>in</strong> first-year writ<strong>in</strong>g, writ<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> discipl<strong>in</strong>es, <strong>and</strong> literacy<br />

studies. His research has appeared <strong>in</strong> The Journal of Basic Writ<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> Across<br />

<strong>the</strong> Discipl<strong>in</strong>es, <strong>and</strong> he is among <strong>the</strong> found<strong>in</strong>g editors of <strong>the</strong> journal Literacy <strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>Composition</strong> Studies.<br />

Maja Wilson is <strong>the</strong> author of Reth<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g Rubrics <strong>in</strong> Writ<strong>in</strong>g Assessment (2006,<br />

Portsmouth, NH: He<strong>in</strong>emann) which won <strong>the</strong> 2007 James Britton Award.<br />

She has taught high school English, college composition, <strong>and</strong> literacy methods<br />

courses for pre-service <strong>and</strong> practic<strong>in</strong>g teachers.<br />
