Primo meeting nazionale

n 5 - 6 May 2022, the first annual
national meeting was held in Palermo
of the CPI (Consorzio per Italia -
Consortium for Italy), a non-profit organisation
with around 120 corporate members who
operate in the Italian lift industry. The Consorzio
per Italia was created in 2021 with a view to
ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers in
the vertical transport sector and to promote the
entire lift industry of our country.
The CPI Chairman, Salvatore Nasca, explains
that “in Italy, there are over 463 thousand
buildings with lifts, around 40% of which have
been in service for over 30 years. Only 3 out of
20 lifts have an adequate level of safety: if we

Il Consorzio per l’Italia è nato nel 2021 con
lo scopo di garantire sicurezza e comfort
ai passeggeri del trasporto verticale e per
promuovere l’intero settore ascensoristico del
nostro Paese.
“In Italia - spiega Salvatore Nasca, presidente
del CPI - ci sono oltre 463 mila edifici muniti di
ascensore, circa il 40% degli impianti in servizio
ha oltre 30 anni. Solo 3 ascensori su 20 hanno un
