If there is a risk of getting trapped in areas
external to the lift shaft, said risk must be
discussed with the owner of the building.
There is a requirement for points from which to
suspend, if necessary, heavy components of the lift.
The structure of the shaft and of the other
spaces must be in accordance with national
building regulations and, in any case, the
protective structures must be resistant to
the applied forces that are specified in the
document.
Resistance values are also specified for the
glass, which must be laminated (layered), as
well as for the bottom of the shaft pit, which
must be impermeable after installation
CONCLUSIONS
For now, our overview of the safety requirements
is concluded but will be resumed in the next
editions of Elevator Magazine, when we will
focus on the most important requirements and
gloss over the others that may be found through
an attentive reading of the document. •

Se vi fossero rischi di intrappolamento in aree
esterne al vano di corsa, tali rischi dovrebbero
essere discussi con il proprietario dell’edificio.
Sono richiesti punti ai quali sospendere, se
necessario, componenti pesanti dell’ascensore.
La struttura del vano e degli altri spazi deve
rispettare i Regolamenti nazionali per gli edifici e
comunque le difese devono avere resistenza a forze
applicate che sono specificate nel documento.
Sono pure specificati i valori di resistenza per i
vetri, le cui lastre devono essere in vetro laminato
(stratificato), nonché per il fondo della fossa del
vano di corsa, che deve risultare impermeabile a
montaggio avvenuto.
