Personal Support Worker 9111<br />
LENGTH INTAKE CREDENTIAL LOCATION<br />
1 year/2 semesters Fall, Winter Ontario College Certificate Morningside<br />
With training reflecting the field’s latest practices and policies, this program prepares you to work —<br />
and lead — in diverse settings, including hospitals and retirement homes. The knowledge and skills<br />
you gain result in an ability to provide compassionate care so that individuals with broad-spectrum<br />
conditions and health care needs can lead active and fulfilling lives. An interactive approach<br />
coupled with practical experience in clinical (instructor-led) and community (preceptor-led) settings,<br />
where you spend 14 weeks, assist in teaching you to effectively communicate and collaborate with<br />
interprofessional health care team members. This offering can also open doors through our Bridging<br />
for Personal Support Worker to Practical Nursing program.<br />

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD),<br />
or equivalent, or mature student status<br />

Centennial College English Skills Assessment<br />
for Admission<br />
• English language proficiency<br />

The faculty in the Personal Support Worker program ensured<br />
that we entered our placements with not only knowledge, but<br />
also pure confidence and faith within ourselves. This clinical<br />
experience tested each student in multiple areas, such as time<br />
management, heath assessment, documenting, critical thinking, and<br />
communication skills. I successfully graduated with honours and got an<br />
