In today’s medical environments, an increased need for infection control measures, outbreak or<br />
pandemic planning, isolation cleaning levels, emergency preparedness, and timely response requires<br />
specially-trained professionals. Be that person with training from this program, which includes labs<br />
and two field placements. Courses teach you to develop, implement, and monitor operating systems<br />
and preventative maintenance in the housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and transportation areas<br />
of a health care facility’s environmental department. You also learn current information about new<br />
superbug-fighting technology; going “green” concepts; and complying with federal, provincial, and<br />
other related standards. As a graduate, gain membership in the Ontario Healthcare Housekeepers<br />
Association and Canadian Association of Environmental Management. The holistic training prepares<br />
you for career — and life — success.<br />

3 years/6 semesters Fall Ontario College Advanced Diploma Morningside<br />
This program, which uses an evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment planning and<br />
implementation, prepares you for an expanding field. Balancing theory and practice, the curriculum<br />
includes labs, an onsite public clinic, and an offsite outreach placement experience. In these<br />
environments, learn proper assessment tools and techniques to deal with conditions involving lymph,<br />
muscle, nerve, fascia, and joints as well as maintaining physical health, function, and mobility. After<br />
graduation, you become eligible to write the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario-administered<br />
registration exams to obtain the Registered Massage Therapist designation. Because of the<br />
program’s holistic manner, you go further faster.<br />
