As of 2022, Netflix had about 222 million subscribers. It is one example of how broadcasting is<br />
changing — and needs professionals with both creative and technical skills. In this program, you<br />
gain competencies required for motion picture, television, and radio as well as multiplatform digital<br />
productions. You learn to develop and create original story content; prepare, manage, and carry out<br />
the production process by exploring techniques for effective storytelling; gain technical experience;<br />
and participate in creating and contributing to student productions. A portfolio and a full-time<br />
14-week industry field placement complement your studies. Because the training is so well-rounded,<br />
you graduate ready to lead.<br />

This preparation program gives you the foundation to confidently pursue a post-secondary education<br />
in communications and media. Guided by industry-experienced faculty members, experiment<br />
with contemporary digital and social media production tools; create and maintain forums on<br />
social media networks; produce focused written communications and media solutions; and apply<br />
English language skills to a presentation portfolio. Once you complete our well-rounded program,<br />
with minimum requirements, you become eligible for admission to Advertising and Marketing<br />
Communications Management; Journalism; or Broadcasting – Radio, Television, Film and Digital<br />
Media at Centennial College.<br />

and succeed as it continues to change, this program combines classroom learning with newsroom<br />
experience. The learn-by-doing approach begins in Centennial’s on-campus publishing, broadcast,<br />
and Internet facilities, where you learn journalism fundamentals and gain the latest multiplatform<br />
skills. Apply your knowledge by writing stories for the award-winning community media outlet The<br />
Toronto Observer, and through producing online, radio, and television newscasts. Exclusive field<br />
trips and a field placement also help you to gain real-world experience and to build your professional<br />
network. You graduate with leadership skills to advance and sustain your career.<br />
