The widespread use of more complex and constantly evolving computer technology is a key factor<br />

driving the current demand for information technology professionals. To meet Ontario’s critical need<br />

in this occupation, Centennial offers the province’s only Computer and Communication Networks<br />

Bachelor degree. Highly qualified professors, who hold industrial certifications and advanced<br />

academic credentials, deliver a unique blend of technology and business topics. A hands-on<br />

approach ensures an innovative balance between the practical and theoretical backgrounds<br />

employers are seeking, while equipping you with leadership abilities. You are also able to specialize in<br />

the design of wireless and security networking.<br />

2. This college has been granted a consent by the Minister of Colleges and Universities to offer this applied degree for a sevenyear<br />

term, starting May 27, 2020. The college shall ensure that all students admitted to the above-named program during the<br />

period of consent will have the opportunity to complete the program within a reasonable time frame.<br />

Whether it is the microcomputer-based systems increasingly entering the marketplace or home<br />

computers, there is a need for professionals who can link their computer hardware expertise to a wide<br />

variety of needs. Computer Repair and Maintenance results in an ideal combination of technical,<br />

business, and leadership abilities to launch your career. The program’s courses take you through<br />

basic computer hardware theory, operating systems, and application programs to keep computers<br />

running efficiently. Technical hands-on training in installation, maintenance, and application of<br />

troubleshooting techniques is also included. For business experience, examine approaches for<br />

maintaining strong customer relations and providing effective technical support.<br />

High School Applicants<br />

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD),<br />

or equivalent<br />

• At least six Grade 12 M or U, or OAC credits<br />

with an overall average of 65 per cent or<br />

higher<br />

Courses must include:<br />

• Grade 12 English (U); final grade 65 per cent<br />

or higher<br />

• One Grade 12 Mathematics (final grade 60<br />

per cent or higher) from the following:<br />

» Grade 12 Math (U) Advanced Functions<br />

» Grade 12 (U) Calculus and Vectors<br />

» Grade 12 (U) Mathematics of Data<br />

Management, or equivalent<br />

Mature Applicants<br />

• Be 21 years of age or older by December 31<br />

of the intake year<br />
