Aircraft maintenance engineers certify aircraft electrical and electronic systems after maintenance,<br />
inspection, repair, or replacement. As a bench technician with training from this program, work in<br />
avionics-approved shops at aviation organizations.Practical application of shop bench work; testing;<br />
troubleshooting; repairing; and removing and installing electrical, electronic, and instrumentation<br />
systems is key to your learning. In on-campus aviation labs and an aircraft hangar, work on numerous<br />
systems and aircraft. Simultaneously, learn about complex electronics and electrical systems related<br />
to an aircraft’s navigation, guidance, communications, instrumentation, and flight controls as well<br />
as business and management topics to be confident in leadership positions. You graduate with the<br />
essential theory and knowledge to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) “E” rated licence.<br />

This program equips you for careers in areas such as general aviation, manufacturing, repair,<br />
overhaul, and with airlines. Whatever your area of interest, become equipped to work on an aircraft’s<br />
complex electronic and electrical systems related to navigation, guidance, communications,<br />
instrumentation, and flight controls. Training in our labs, shops, and large aircraft hangar is geared<br />
to the industry’s most current needs. In these environments, practice tasks and skills for shop<br />
bench work, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, removing, and installing electrical, electronic, and<br />
instrumentation systems. The essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills prepare you for an<br />
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AM) “E” rated licence — and to feel confident in leadership roles.<br />
