This well-rounded program teaches you to design, adapt, analyze, troubleshoot, commission, and<br />
install electrical systems as applied to electrical engineering. In your classes and modern labs, which<br />
provide a technologically-advanced learning environment, put theory into practice through real-life<br />
applications and simulated workplace assignments. The range of functions you complete as an<br />
electrical engineering technologist reflect safety and compliance with relevant codes and standard<br />

As the construction industry continues to grow, a demand for professionals with electrical<br />
engineering technician skills grows with it. This program allows you to train as an apprentice in the<br />
electrician trade (309A) while you obtain your post-secondary diploma. You graduate with a thorough<br />
grounding of knowledge and skills in electrical engineering sciences. This includes electrical circuits,<br />
maintenance of electrical instruments or devices, and operation of electrical motors and power<br />
transmission, as used in the industry. The program also features a co-op work placement component<br />
that rounds out your training — and prepares you to confidently advance your career.<br />
