The Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, municipal courts, and tribunals and boards all<br />
need the pre, in-session, and post-court expertise of Court Support Services graduates. To safeguard<br />
judicial process functions, learn tasks such as administering oaths; preparing exhibits and court<br />
documents; distributing court dockets; testing and troubleshooting audio, recording, and court video<br />
technology; and maintaining order and decorum in a court or tribunal. Participate in court room<br />
simulations and mock trials, working with real court equipment, court forms, and court procedures.<br />
A practicum shadowing professionals in a real courtroom allows you to put learning into practice.<br />
Graduate with confidence in your extensive skill set and leadership abilities.<br />
Note: Once you complete this program, you will be eligible to apply to the accredited court transcription course, Court<br />
Transcription – Novice.<br />

A recent poll by a leading staffing agency reveals that the coming years could see an increased<br />
demand for law clerks, as law firms seek to make efficiencies and transfer duties from first-year<br />
lawyers to trained law clerks. The Law Clerk program provides you with the necessary skills to prepare<br />
for these opportunities. Attend a wide variety of relevant courses, in conjunction with legal software<br />
training, to gain the leadership abilities to confidently seek employment in the legal profession.<br />
A unique program feature is a four-day-per-week work placement in your final semester. It provides<br />
you with invaluable work experience that allows you to apply your knowledge to real-life legal<br />
situations.<br />
Note: Once you complete the Law Clerk program, you may be eligible for Centennial’s one-year Paralegal graduate certificate<br />
program, or you may take advantage of the College’s partnership with the University of Leicester’s Law School in the U.K.<br />
