combination of anatomy, physiology, pathology, histology and chemistry, infection control, practical<br />

2 years/4 semesters Fall Ontario College Diploma Progress<br />
This program serves as preparation for entering work environments such as hospitals and community,<br />
corporate, and commercial fitness settings. Curriculum emphasizes hands-on training in labs and<br />
during field placements. The practical approach covers anatomy and physiology, fitness assessment,<br />
injury management, nutrition, fitness marketing, mental illness and wellness, older adult and<br />
special populations programming, Olympic weightlifting, physical literacy, and Long-Term Athlete<br />
Development (LTAD). You graduate prepared to become a certified personal trainer according to<br />
the CSEP-CPT and a group exercise leader according to the Ontario Fitness Council requirements.<br />
Additional industry certifications from Canada Fitness Professional (canfitpro) and Twist Sport<br />
Conditioning are available in-curriculum.<br />
