to arise from expansion demand and replacement demand. To successfully enter this sector, learn<br />

about spa applications, medical esthetics, and business operations. This is the only undertaking of<br />

its sort in Toronto to include both clinic and placement components, which means you gain hands-on<br />

skills in a faculty-supervised student clinic and during an industry placement. Program time covers a<br />

combination of anatomy, physiology, pathology, histology and chemistry, infection control, practical<br />

applications, product knowledge, sales techniques, and business practices. The program’s wellrounded<br />

approach leaves you confident to lead and to get ahead.<br />

LENGTH INTAKE CREDENTIAL LOCATION<br />

2 years/4 semesters Fall Ontario College Diploma Progress<br />

This program serves as preparation for entering work environments such as hospitals and community,<br />

corporate, and commercial fitness settings. Curriculum emphasizes hands-on training in labs and<br />

during field placements. The practical approach covers anatomy and physiology, fitness assessment,<br />

injury management, nutrition, fitness marketing, mental illness and wellness, older adult and<br />

special populations programming, Olympic weightlifting, physical literacy, and Long-Term Athlete<br />

Development (LTAD). You graduate prepared to become a certified personal trainer according to<br />

the CSEP-CPT and a group exercise leader according to the Ontario Fitness Council requirements.<br />

Additional industry certifications from Canada Fitness Professional (canfitpro) and Twist Sport<br />

Conditioning are available in-curriculum.<br />
