3 years/6 semesters Fall Ontario College Advanced Diploma Downsview<br />

A fascination with helicopters, single-engine planes, or jumbo jets can lead to a lucrative career.<br />

This program’s curriculum and practical application involves working on fixed and rotary wing<br />

aircraft, airframes, engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, propellers, avionics equipment, and<br />

aircraft instruments. You also become familiar with aircraft maintenance areas such as general<br />

aviation, business and corporate aviation, and charter and transport category aviation, while gaining<br />

additional business and management skills. Our training provides you with the theory and knowledge<br />

base to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) “M” rated licence. This licence opens you up<br />

to certifying aircraft for flight after maintenance, inspection, repair, or modification. The well-rounded<br />

education prepares you to go further faster.<br />

1. Classes may run between 7:30 am and 8:30 pm.<br />

for Admission<br />

• Grade 11 Mathematics (M or U) or Grade<br />

Mathematics 12 (C or U), or equivalent<br />

(minimum grade required), or take a<br />

Centennial College Engineering Math Skills<br />

Assessment for Admission<br />

• English language proficiency<br />

Note: Due to Transport Canada accreditation requirements,<br />

the option for transfer credit is only applicable to certain<br />

General Education (COMM, GNED elective) courses in the<br />

Aviation Technology – Aircraft Maintenance and Management<br />
