Together, Canada’s large multi-unit organizations and small independent food and beverage
operations create a $70-billion industry — and more around the world. This program sets you up to
play a crucial managerial and leadership role, with the skills for a progressive career. During your
studies, learn in Centennial’s restaurant, quick service café, and event space, or in our immersive
online environment. Then, participate in a 14-week industry work-integrated learning experience
at The Local Cafe and Restaurant, Centennial’s Event Centre, or with an external industry partner.
You graduate with Smart Serve, Food Handlers, CPR, First Aid, and It’s Your Shift (a training and
awareness program to prevent sexual harassment and violence) certifications.
Note: The official Ministry name for this program is Food and Beverage Management.
“I did my internship in Costa Rica to have a broader perspective of
the hospitality industry in different parts of the world, which really
opened my mind about the industry and sustainability practices that
are an asset for my current role. While in school, I took advantage of
every single opportunity that they had to offer. I was part of their
International Student Ambassador program as well as the international
volunteer programs, where we travelled to China to explore their culture.”
