He has a dramatic arts degree from the National University of Argentina. He is a founding member of USINA 4, a creative creative agency and production company. He is also a network member of La RED - Red de Promotores Culturales de Latinoamérica y el Caribe. He is Mendoza's representative to the National Theater Institute, an organization that supports and promotes independent theater. He is also a curator and member of the national theater touring network. He studied High School in Centro Nacional de Artes€, graduating in Arts, with a speciality in Theatre. In 1973, along with other Salvadorian playwriters, he founded Sol del Rio Theatre. In 1978 he joined the Top Institute of Art and Theatre "Lunacharsky" (Gitis) Moscow, Russia, where later he obtained his Masters in Arts and an specialization in Directing Dramatic Art. In the years 1986 and 1987, he worked in Porto (Portugal) with the Seiva Troupe Company, he directed the play "Uncle Vanya" by Anton Chekhov and worked as a teacher at the company's school. Her work has been presented in London, Helsinki, Toyko and Vancouver and across the U.S. Recently she has collaborated with Adam Cooper-Teran on Archipelago (NPN Creation Fund) about Yaqui and Okinawan creation stories, and with Jason Aragon/Pan Left Productions (MAP Fund) for Bus Stop Dreaming, a multi-media, roving performance responding to thousands of deportations in South Tucson. Currently she is a lecturer at Arizona State University and will serve as Activist/Artist in Residence at the Claremont Colleges. She is originally from the Los Angeles area where she attended UC Irvine and UCLA. She

Born and raised in the extended family of El Teatro Campesino, he is currently a resident artist/ensemble member with the company. In 2009, Lakin received a NPN Creation Fund Award for his play Victor in Shadow, which was commissioned by La Pena Cultural Center and El Teatro Campesino. Between the years of 1992 to 2002 he directed a large number of Latino plays such as "Roosters" by Milcha Sanchez Scott, "The Conduct of Life" by Maria Irene Fornes, and "The Guitarron." With 7 plays under his shoulder Mr. Valdez characterizes himself as a playwright. He has directed and produced several of his individual works such as "Soy Yo/It's Me," "P13-Vive," "Ambos/Both," and most recently "Outside The Circle," a collaboration with Andrea Assaf and Dora Arreola. He is in the process of beginning his future work focusing on the creation of man and how he fits into this concept as a man with a disability.
