She conceived and directed SURVIVE! - a 22,000 sq foot choose-your-own adventure installation of the multi-verse as well as LADY M (2011 Phila. Live Arts): an all female spectacle based on Shakespeare's Macbeth. She directed THE GIANT SQUID a Crypto-zoology-horror-comedy that will swim to the Academy of Natural Sciences as part of a $50,000 grant from the Knight Foundation. Adrienne has been a LAB Fellow and won the CEC's New Edge Residency and an Independence Foundation Fellowship (2008). Her study of alternative voice has taken her to France's Pantheatre and Roy Hart Voice Centre. She teaches at Drexel University and can be heard singing 70's funk as "The Truth" on Johnny Showcase's album "Love is the Message." Recent work includes LA Poverty Department's "Walk the Talk" and "State of Incarceration," co-directed by Malpede and Henriette Brouwers and performed at The Box Gallery, Highways Performance Space, and the Radar LA Festival; as a collaborating performer in Wunderbaum's "Looking for Paul," at the REDCAT Theater and Stadsschouwburg's in Rotterdam and Amsterdam; and "Bright Futures" directed by Malpede and performed by Nell Breyer, Malpede, and Tanya Selvaratnam at MIT and NYC's Performa Festival. In her spare time she co-directs (with partner Jesse Keller) and performs with YARDWorks, The Yard's year-round company of educators and artists, and freelances with The Peggy Spina Tap Company, Xodus Dance Collective, and Naomi Goldberg Haas' Dances for a Variable Population among others. Alison teaches Horton Technique at STEPS on Broadway, Peridance Capezio Center, The Yard, and The Performing Arts Center of Connecticut.
