She is a 2012 Canadian Stage RBC BASH DIrector in Residence, a 2013 Harbourfront Centre HATCH Resident Artist, and a two-time Philadelphia Asian Arts Initiative Resident Artist. She has been short listed for the Ontario KM Hunter Award in Theatre (2010) and Literature (2013). She has created the large scale interdisciplinary piece "Hiding Words (for you)" which delves into nushu, a secret language Chinese women created when they were not allowed to read or write, her two-hander "Ocean Carving", her one woman show "Fold My Soul" and her audience interactive community building performance "Intent City". She is Artistic Director of the interdisciplinary performance company Eventual Ashes. She has written and performed five full-length solo theater works and one ensemble play. Kristina's been a commentator for American Public Media's Marketplace radio show, PBS, KCET, xoJane.com, Jezebel and Playgirl Magazine. Her work has been awarded with the Creative Capital award, the Map Fund, three Center for Cultural Innovation awards, four Durfee Foundation/CCI ARC grants, two National Performance Network Creation Funds, the PEN USA Rosenthal Emerging Voices Fellowship and four Artist-in-Residence Awards from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. SFIAF commissions and produces new work by local artists engaged in international projects and presents the existing repertoire of multiple ensembles from around the world (most of whom do not have US representation). Each Festival takes three years to plan and implement. SFIAF will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2013. Prior to creating SFIAF, Andrew was the Director of

In three years he transformed the venue from being primarily a rental facility with an annual income of $150,000 into a multi-disciplinary presenting organization with a budget of nearly half a million dollars. Andrew's first job working in the arts was at a theatre called Life on the Water. He is a Pennsylvania Fellow of the Arts in Folk and Traditional forms and has been funded by the Independence Foundation and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Dance Advance and NEFA. A self taught Breaking practitioner since 1983, Raphael continues to learn and recreate new ways to expand the vocabulary of the dance and is forging an exceptional approach to improvisation. Brenda Dixon Gottschild deemed Xavier, "A fine movement technician." His extensive research in Hip Hop forms and culture, specifically Breaking, has lead to the creation of Ground-Core, a Somatic dance technique that give the practitioner a better understanding of the body within all dance forms.
