She is a former company member of Mordine and Company Dance Theater and has appeared in Chicago with Smith/Wymore Disappearing Acts, Cie Felix Ruckert, and Peter Carpenter Performance Project. Wilkinson has been a guest teacher and choreographer for the Cecchetti Council of America, Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, and the Evanston Dance Ensemble and was Assistant Choreographer for Lookingglass Theater's The Great Fire and Walkabout Theater's Crow. She is on faculty at Columbia College Chicago, has taught at Northwestern University, Dance Center Evanston, and Visceral Dance Chicago, and has organized for the Society of Dance History Scholars. He is a painter, sculptor, and muralist working around interests in history, culture, and the sciences. Williams taught art at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1991-2003 and 2010. Currently teaching at Chicago State University and developing a temporary outdoor project (2013) concerning the Mississippi River with Laumeier Sculpture Park in St. Louis.The artist has worked with youth and communities for 20 years, and maintains an interest in education, expansive practices, pure artistic adventure,travel,theatre,Europe,books,cars,video,photography,and architecture. Sharon held the position of Production Manager at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center for four years. Over the past several years she has served in the capacity as stage manager, research assistant, teaching artist, production assistant, and producer for several performing arts organizations in the Seattle Area. She is a co-producer for the short film, What About Us? (Hollywood Black Film Festival and Bronze Lens Film Festival). Sharon, received a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Delaware State University, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Arts Leadership at Seattle University. Sharon is excited to be the new Managing Director for the Central District Forum for Arts and Ideas.
