NPN's 2012 Annual Meeting in Philadelphia Attendees / Page 24 of 115 Chris Cowden has served as executive director of W&TW since 1986 and has overseen the work of over 1,550 visual and performing artists. She directs all programming and is responsible for fiscal management, planning, implementation, and evaluation. During her tenure, W&TW has tripled in size and the organization maintains a national presence. W&TW was a founding member of NPN and VAN. Cowden has served numerous times as a panelist for the NEA and the Texas Commission on the Arts and as an arts consultant. Cowden has a B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa) and M.A. in English Literature and completed all course work for a PhD. She taught English at the University of Texas. Before joining W&TW, Cowden served as a corporate loan officer at what is now JPMorgan Chase Bank in New York. He received his B.S. in Political Science and M.S. in Theological Studies from Emory University and holds a Masters of Nonprofit Management from Regis University. PJ began his career working as a grassroots community organizer in Atlanta where he worked with the Atlanta Project and Hands On Atlanta. He went on to become the National Director of AmeriCorps Alums whose mission it was to build a national platform for civic engagement among 450,000 National Service Alumni. PJ is the Executive Director of RedLine a creative urban labratory where arts, education and community converge.

Aside from touring the university/college circuit with D'FaQTo Life (pr. defacto), D'Lo tours his 2 other solo shows : Ramble-ations: A One D'Lo Show and D'FunQT: Stand up or Die. He has toured as a collaborator with Adelina Anthony on Talking Taboo which received a NPN Creation Fund award. D'Lo's latest full-length stand-up storytelling show D'FunQT (dir. Steven Sapp) premiered in NYC and toured internationally (SF, Manchester, India, Sri Lanka) with support from the Ford Foundation. Currently, D'Lo is working on his play Boys that Pray with support from the Astraea Foundation.
