DARL ANDREW PACKARD (Technical Director/Light<strong>in</strong>g Designer) is a theater artist orig<strong>in</strong>ally<br />

from Baltimore, MD where he attended Goucher College. After a short st<strong>in</strong>t beh<strong>in</strong>d the scenes <strong>in</strong><br />

television he moved to San Francisco to pursue theater work with Josh Kornbluth, Word for Word<br />

Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts and the Z Space Studio. He has extensive design experience, apprentic<strong>in</strong>g video<br />

designer David Szlasa and light<strong>in</strong>g designer Allen Wilner, while also accumulat<strong>in</strong>g his own design<br />

credits for work with Golden Thread Productions, Crowded Fire Theater, Amara Tabor-Smith/Deep<br />

Waters Dance, and Adia Tamar-Whitaker/Ase Dance among many others. Packard is a 2-time recipient<br />

of the Light<strong>in</strong>g Artist <strong>in</strong> Dance Award. He has served as the Production Manager and Technical<br />

Director for CounterPULSE.<br />

Myrna Packer is co-artistic director of Bridgman|Packer Dance with her partner Art Bridgman. Their<br />

work focuses on the <strong>in</strong>tegration of live performance and video technology. Recipients of a 2008<br />

Guggenheim Fellowship Award, they have also received 3 NPN Creation Fund Awards, NEA Grants<br />

for the past 6 consecutive years, 2 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowships, 2 New England<br />

Foundation for the Arts Expeditions Tour<strong>in</strong>g Grants,and commissions from DTW (now NYLA),<br />

Danspace Project, 92nd St Y New Works <strong>in</strong> Dance Fund, DNA, and Portland Ovations.They have<br />

toured throughout USA, Europe and Asia, and with NPN's Perform<strong>in</strong>g Americas Program throughout<br />

Central America. Their newest work, VOYEUR,is designed to be performed <strong>in</strong> gallery spaces as well<br />

as theaters and <strong>in</strong>cludes a video <strong>in</strong>stallation component.<br />
