Rebekah Lanae Lengel is Miami Light Project's manag<strong>in</strong>g producer and has been with the organization<br />

s<strong>in</strong>ce 2002. In 2006, Ms. Lengel was selected by the Arts & Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Council of Miami as the<br />

co-recipient of the <strong>in</strong>augural Miami Emerg<strong>in</strong>g Leaders Award; <strong>in</strong> 2005 she was recognized as a<br />

Lead<strong>in</strong>g Woman <strong>in</strong> South Florida's Urban Community by Urban America Newspaper and was, <strong>in</strong> the<br />

same year, selected by the Association of Perform<strong>in</strong>g Arts Presenters as one of 18 <strong>in</strong>dividuals across<br />

the country to participate <strong>in</strong> the 2005 Emerg<strong>in</strong>g Leaders Institute. She is currently a participant <strong>in</strong> the<br />

Arts Presenters Leadership Development Institute. Ms. Lengel is also an accomplished journalist and<br />

playwright, whose work has been published <strong>in</strong> three languages.<br />

Melissa Li is a writer, composer, and performer based <strong>in</strong> Brooklyn. She was a recipient of the 2007<br />

Jonathan Larson Award and her first musical, Surviv<strong>in</strong>g the Nian, co-written by Abe Rybeck, was<br />

produced by The Theater Offensive that same year. She toured nationally <strong>in</strong> the band Good Asian<br />

Drivers from 2008-2010 and currently fronts the band Melissa Li and The Barely Theirs. In addition,<br />

she's co-writ<strong>in</strong>g 99% Stone, a musical based on the events lead<strong>in</strong>g up to and result<strong>in</strong>g from the<br />

Stonewall Riots, with playwright Letta Neely. She is also currently a Queer Art Mentorship fellow and<br />

will be work<strong>in</strong>g with performer/writer Moe Angelos through September 2014.<br />
