In addition, Martorano has four years experience in the film industry producing and fundraising for independent films that have received international festival recognition in Dallas, Austin, Poland, and Denver. Presently, Martorano is the Deputy Director of RedLine Denver, a non-profit arts organization committed to the convergence of art, community and education. Cassie has taught and created dances in communities throughout the U.S. and internationally in Japan, Canada, London, Ireland, and Guyana. Born in Charleston, SC, and raised in Augusta, GA, Cassie received her B.F.A. in dance from The Ohio State University. She joined the performing company of the Dance Exchange in 2002 and assumed the role of Artistic Director in 2011. Her current choreographic project, How To Lose a Mountain, will incorporate a 500-mile walk from Washington, D.C. to West Virginia to trace the sources of the energy that fuel her home. The work will premiere in the spring of 2013. She earned her bachelor of fine arts from Tyler School of Fine Arts and her master of fine arts from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Ms. Meek did post-graduate work in Art History at Queens College in New York. In addition to producing art, Vicki Meek has a long history as a curator and is an adjunct curator for the African American Museum in Dallas. Meek has over 35 years experience in arts administration and has held various teaching positions at Brookhaven College, Kentucky State University and Philadelphia
