DIRECTORATE (SIML)<br />
Kele Mazwai joined <strong>Sun</strong> <strong>International</strong> and the board in 2008 and has 19 years’ experience in<br />
human resources management. She joined MNet, Supersport and Oracle as human resources<br />
manager in 1999 and was appointed human resources director in 2003, prior to which she<br />
held various positions with PG Autoglass, Markhams, Woolworths and the Department of<br />
Foreign Affairs.<br />
DR (Khati) Mokhobo (45) / NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR/<br />
BCOM, BACC, ACMA, CA(SA)<br />
Khati Mokhobo joined <strong>Sun</strong> <strong>International</strong> and the board in 2005 to oversee the group’s<br />
expansion in new casino licences and other properties outside of South Africa, during which<br />
time he has been responsible for the group’s expansion into Nigeria. He was one of the<br />
founding members of the auditing and forensic services firm, Gobodo Incorporated, a role in<br />
which he consulted extensively over a seven-year period with the various gambling boards in<br />
South Africa, including a period during which he acted as chief executive of the Gauteng<br />
Gambling Board.<br />
S (Sean) Montgomery (48) / DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR / BSC (QS)<br />
Sean Montgomery rejoined <strong>Sun</strong> <strong>International</strong> as development director in 2005 and was<br />
appointed to the board in the same year. He was originally with <strong>Sun</strong> <strong>International</strong> from<br />
1995 to 2003 during which period he was responsible for the construction of Carnival<br />
City, GrandWest and was seconded to oversee the construction of the Cape Town<br />
<strong>International</strong> Convention <strong>Centre</strong>. He has 20 years’ experience in the construction and<br />
property development industry, including 13 years’ experience in leisure, hotel, gaming<br />
and resort development, during which he has also been responsible, inter alia, for the<br />
development and construction of the group’s projects in Chile and Nigeria.<br />
M (Mervyn) Naidoo (44) / DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR: GAMING SOUTH/<br />
NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HOTEL MANAGEMENT)<br />
Mervyn Naidoo joined <strong>Sun</strong> <strong>International</strong> in 1996 as a food and beverage manager. In 2006 he<br />
was appointed general manager of The Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World and was<br />
promoted to his present position in 2008, in terms of which he is responsible for the group’s<br />
Western Cape based GrandWest and Golden Valley casinos, the Eastern Cape based Boardwalk,<br />
the Lesotho region and the Monticello Grand Casino and Entertainment World in Chile. Mervyn<br />
is a director of a number of group companies, including Emfuleni Resorts and <strong>Sun</strong>West<br />
<strong>International</strong>. He was appointed to the board in 2008.<br />
DS (Des) Whitcher (51) / DIRECTOR: GAMING DEVELOPMENT AND SLOTS<br />
Des Whitcher joined <strong>Sun</strong> <strong>International</strong> on its inception in 1983, having started his career at<br />
<strong>Sun</strong> City as a slot technician in 1981, progressing to general manager, Morula Casino and<br />
Hotel in 1992. In 1995 he was promoted to gaming development manager to oversee the<br />
group’s participation in the new casino licence and the gaming integration process in South<br />
Africa. He was appointed to the board in 2006. Des is responsible for overseeing the group’s<br />
gaming development and slot operations and has over <strong>25</strong> years’ experience in the gaming,<br />
hotel and resort industries.<br />
COMPANY SECRETARY<br />
CA (Chantel) Reddiar (34) / COMPANY SECRETARY / BA, LLB, LLM<br />
Chantel Reddiar joined <strong>Sun</strong> <strong>International</strong> in 2004 as a senior legal advisor, having articled with<br />
Webber Wentzel Bowens. She was appointed as company secretary with effect from 1 April<br />
2010, and heads up the group’s corporate services function. Chantel has oversight for gaming<br />
and other licensing processes, intellectual property rights, as well as share scheme and plan<br />
administration and compliance, for which she is responsible. She is also responsible for the<br />
group’s corporate governance processes, particularly at board levels.<br />
KRE (Kurt) Peter (55) / DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR: RESORTS<br />

DES WHITCHER CHANTEL REDDIAR<br />
Kurt Peter rejoined <strong>Sun</strong> <strong>International</strong> in 1995 as area general manager of the Thaba’Nchu and Naledi <strong>Sun</strong>s in the Free State, and retired from the group on 31 July 2010.<br />
During his period with the group he was the general manager of the Cascades Hotel and Entertainment <strong>Centre</strong> at <strong>Sun</strong> City, director of operations: <strong>Sun</strong> City, general<br />
manager of the GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World as well as divisional director: gaming south and director: resorts which is the position he held until his<br />
retirement. He has over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality and gaming industry.<br />
