As we can see these recommendations still hold to the current situationof the art market.On the other hand, there are many marketing strategies that can be implemented at nocost. The internet is growing as a marketing tool as marketers search <strong>for</strong> creative waysto get more market share. It is important to un<strong>de</strong>rstand tough times never last <strong>for</strong>ever,and even though many experts predict the recession to last longer than 2010 it’simportant to remember not to panic and not to act on fear.Recommendations <strong>for</strong> <strong>Puerto</strong>rrican Fine ArtToday being successful in the fine art market means creating a strong business (McNee2010). It is important to differentiate puertorrican fine art from other fine art around theworld. To achieve this we need to create brand i<strong>de</strong>ntity that sets it apart. <strong>Puerto</strong>rricanfine art is linked to puertorrican culture and this makes it unique. We still have to lookinto making it collectable and <strong>de</strong>sirable <strong>for</strong> customers worldwi<strong>de</strong>.It is important to continue to make investment because competition in the fine art markethas increase wi<strong>de</strong>ly. But, it is more important to invest wisely. Ef<strong>for</strong>t can be focused ondiverting traditional advertising into direct marketing or consi<strong>de</strong>ring websites specializedin art, where art collectors worldwi<strong>de</strong> can get acquainted with puertorrican fine art.
