a common space which reminds us of an aréna — the stage is not
separated from the audience by a proscénium arch. He has asked the
stage designers from the Rond-Point Theatre to create ever new scénographie
approaches which will utilize this highly originál space, as well
as the nátuře of the play to be staged. Also a second, small, angular
auditorium provides opportunities for stage design experiments, above
all by Simoně Benmussa and Jean-Pierre Granval.
The mutual interaction of space stage design creativity in the productions
of the Renaud-Barrault Company have also led to particularly interesting
lighting. Yannis Kokkos, who undoubtedly is the most outstanding
personality of French stage design in recent years, has developed expériences
of this type at the Paláce Chaillot, in collaboration with Antoine
Vitez its director. It was also he, who within the framework of
a variable theatrical space has defined the seating area and its decorations
as a component of the stage designs, which should be an extention,
in harmony with the staging concept. In order to provide a more complete
view of his designs we have included some of his other work into
our exposition, which he produced for various stages throughout Europe.
Původně herečka; jako kostýmní výtvarnice spolupracuje na inscenacích
činoherních, operních a tanečních jak s národními divadly, tak i s dalsimi
velkými divadelními společnostmi. Vystavovala na PQ 1975.

A 1'origine a été comédienne; comme scénographe elle crée souvent les
costumes pour la comédie, 1' opera et la danse dans les théátres nationaux
ou de grandes compagnies. Elle a pris part a la PQ 1975.
Originally an actress; as a costume designér she has worked with
national theatres, as well as other large theatrical companies in the
staging of drama, opera and dance productions. She also exhibited at the
PQ in 1975.
