Né en 1920 a Čáslav. Artisté National. II est scénographe du Théátre
National a Prague et chef-artistique de Laterna Magika. Professeur
a 1'Ecole Supérieure des Arts appliqués á Prague. II collabore avec les
théátres importants a 1'étranger. Ses prix et titres importants: La
Médaille ďOr et le Grand Prix Expo Bruxelles 1958, la Médaille ďOr
á la UI 6
Biennale de Part plastique du théátre á Sao Paulo 1961, le
doctorat ďhonneur au Royal College of Art a Londres et le prix Nederlandse
Sikkensprijs 1969. II a pris part a la PQ 1967, 1971, 1975 et 1979.
Born in 1920 in Čáslav. National Artist. He is a stage designér at the
National Theatre in Prague and the artistic director of Laterna Magika.
Professor at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague. He collaborates
with outstanding theatres abroad. His most important awards and titles:
Gold Medal and Grand Prix at Expo Brussels 1958, Gold Medal at the III
Biennial in Sao Paulo in 1961, honoráry doctorate at the Royal College
of Arts in London and award of Nederlandse Sikkensprijs in 1969. He
participated in PQ 1967, 1971, 1975 and in 1979.
