Additional recommendations to ADEME further the critical review of the
study:

AND COMBUSTION ENGINE VEHICLES, FOR A SEGMENT B

Recommendations for further investigations and updates:
Current results correspond to the state-of-the-art practice that can be applied to LCA at
that time, and possible limitations are identified. In that context, results produced in this
study can be used to support decisions and to building up a strategy for planning
implementation of electric vehicles in the current mobility network. Nevertheless,
considering the identified limitations, the review committee suggests to ADEME to update
the study results, refining the assumptions of the studies, the inventories and the
characterization models after three to five years in order to strengthen some results of the
current study.
Three sources of limitations have been identified: methodology gaps at the beginning of
the study; missing information for modeling the system, and missing inventory data.
a/ Methodology gaps:
- Complexity in comparing the different systems: When results are that close to each
other, as is the case for numerous results in the study, it is more relevant to identify
thresholds which can help to define conditions in which the use of electric vehicles has
