Voor patiënten met recente vaststelling van Barrett-slokdarm zonder dysplasie wordt-
na twee opeenvolgende onderzoeken binnen 12 maanden - een surveillance-interval van
3 jaar voorgesteld.
Het gebruik van RFA- ablatie bij Barrett-mucosa wordt in studieprotocollen onderzocht.
Voor Barrett-mucosa met metaplasie of LGIN bestaat buiten studieprotocol geen harde
indicatie voor RFA. De behandeling van HGIN met RFA is erkend, doch in België niet
terugbetaald . Ze kan evenwel in universitaire centra (UGent, UGasthuisberg) worden
aangeboden.
