Watu wazima wengi hudhani kuwa vijana hawana sababu ya kuwa na wasiwasi wala matatizo. Hata<br />
hivyo, balehe ni kipindi cha kuchanganya na kufadhaisha. Maswali na dukuduku nyingi hutokea<br />
wakati huu wa mabadiliko ya mwili na hisia. Pia, vijana hujiuliza maswali yanayohusu elimu, ajira<br />
na uhusiano kwa marafiki na wazazi. Kipindi cha kubalehe kinaambatana na misukumo toka kwa<br />
marafiki. Vijana huwa na wasiwasi kuhusu maisha yao ya baadaye.<br />
Lakini kubalehe ni hatua muhimu na inayosisimua. Ni kipindi ambacho kijana hukua kimwili, kihisia<br />
na kiakili. Pia, kijana huanza kupata majukumu na kuwa na ndoto kuhusu maisha ya baadaye. Vijana<br />
balehe hujifunza kufanya uamuzi binafsi ambao huweza kubadili maisha yao ya leo, kesho na miaka<br />
mingi ijayo.<br />
Wakati wa kubalehe, kijana anahitaji taarifa sahihi ili zimsaidie kufanya uamuzi wenye nguvu na<br />
usalama. Wazazi, walimu na watu wazima wengine hupata wasiwasi kuhusu uamuzi waufanyao vijana<br />
wao unaohusu uhusiano, ngono,dawa za kulevya na vileo au kupanga maisha ya baadaye.<br />
Hata hivyo, utafiti unaonyesha kuwa vijana wanaweza kupanga mambo yao kwa busara kama wakiwa<br />
na taarifa sahihi pamoja na mbinu mbalimbali za maisha kama vile uwezo wa kufanya uamuzi,<br />
mawasiliano, maelewano, wakisaidiwa na miongozo toka kwa watu wazima.<br />
Kitabu cha “<strong>Wewe</strong>, <strong>Maisha</strong> <strong>Yako</strong>, <strong>Ndoto</strong> <strong>Zako</strong>” kinachambua masuala mbalimbali yanayowakuta<br />
vijana balehe katika Bara la Afrika. Yaliyomo humu yameandaliwa kwa kuwashirikisha vijana<br />
wenyewe toka nchi mbalimbali. Kitabu kimebobea katika masuala ambayo vijana wenyewe waliyaona<br />
yana umuhimu: Kuingia utu uzima, kutunza afya, kukabili mifadhaiko, kuelewana na wazazi, kujenga<br />
uhusiano wa kirafiki na kimapenzi, kukabili mifadhaiko na kuvunjika moyo, afya njema ya ujinsia,<br />
kupata mimba, kutoa mimba, kukabili matumizi mabaya ya dawa za kulevya na vileo, masuala ya<br />
elimu na ajira.<br />
Zipo sababu mwafaka za kutaka kuhakikisha vijana wetu wanazo taarifa sahihi kuhusu masuala<br />
haya. Vijana wanakumbana na mambo mengi yanayoongeza changamoto na uwezekano wao wa<br />
kudhurika, ikiwa majumbani, mitaani, shuleni na hata kwenye vyombo vya habari. Leo hii, kijana ana<br />
uwezekano wa kupata matatizo mengi ya kiafya kama vile magonjwa ya zinaa, VVU/UKIMWI, mimba<br />
zisizotakiwa na utoaji mimba usio salama. Kiasi cha asilimia 60 ya maambukizi mapya ya VVU katika<br />
Bara la Afrika yanatokea kwa vijana wa miaka 10 hadi 24. Hii ina maana kuwa vijana wanaambukizwa<br />
VVU kwa kasi zaidi kuliko kundi lolote lingine.<br />
Kijana aliyeko kwenye hatari zaidi ya kuambukizwa VVU ni yule asiye na taarifa sahihi. Kijana wa aina<br />
hii anategemea zaidi kupata taarifa toka kwa marafiki, video au filamu na muziki wa kizazi kipya,<br />
taarifa ambazo kwa kiwango kikubwa huwa si sahihi. Kwa hiyo, kitabu hiki kimekusudia kuhakikisha<br />
vijana balehe wanapata taarifa sahihi na wanajijengea uwezo wa kukabili misukumo ya kutenda<br />
yasiyofaa, kujenga uhusiano wenye faida na la muhimu zaidi; kuwawezesha vijana wafanye uamuzi<br />
salama na wa busara.<br />
Napenda kuwasisitiza wazazi, walimu na watu wazima wengine wasome kitabu hiki na<br />
wawashirikishe vijana wao na wengineo. Aidha, nawasisitiza watu wazima waongee na vijana kuhusu<br />
taarifa zilizomo na wawashauri vijana inavyopasa. Watu wazima wawasaidie vijana kuwa salama<br />
katika kipindi cha mabadiliko kuingia utu uzima ili waweze kutimiza ndoto zao maishani.<br />
