Vienna Summer Camp
In summer of 2017, Danube International School Vienna introduced the
DISV Summer Camp, a summer program for English speaking children
from the international community in Vienna, as well as for all other
children who want to experience fun, excitement and friendships.
Very soon, the DISV Summer Camp
attracted families from all over Vienna
and even from other countries, as
our staff are bilingual native English
speakers. In our 5th year, the DISV
Summer Camp 2021 offers weekly
themes including fun activities with
emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Maths), healthy
living, outdoor education and more.
Camp activities take place within the
appropriate age groups 4 to 6 years, 7
to 10 years and 11 to 14 years, making
sure that all activities are suitable for
the children’s age.
DISV SUMMER CAMP 2021
Week 1: June 28 – July 2, 2021: Discovering
Vienna: We will learn about
our great city by exploring it through
various mediums.
Week 2: July 5 – 9, 2021: Engineering:
The future is here, when we assemble
robots with Engineering for Kids and
playfully learn how mathematics,
science and technology interact to
shape our world.
Week 3: July 12 – 16, 2021: Science
How does science affect our lives?
Join us when we find out what goes
on behind the scenes in our everyday
lives, by taking part in various activities
and experiments.
Week 4: July 19 – 23, 2021: Health &
Movement: Rowing and climbing at
Monki Park. Let’s find out that sports
are fun!
Week 5: July 26 – 30, 2021: Art & Nature:
Visit the Vienna Zoo with us and
enjoy the beauty of art when we work
together at the Museum of Modern
Art. Produce your own piece of art
to reflect what can be seen in nature
around us.
Week 6: August 2 – 6, 2021: Becoming
a junior chef! What do we need to
stay fit and healthy? A well-balanced
diet is the key to your own well-being.
Each camp day will include morning
learning time with our qualified summer
camp staff.
The DISV Summer Camp staff consists
of experienced and IB trained
teachers and assistants, who not only
provide great fun and academic support
to our summer camp children
each year, but who also work with
our regular DISV students during the
school year. While the DISV Summer
Camp language is English, most of
our staff are fluent in German as well,
ready to create memorable experiences
with our summer camp children.
We look forward to welcoming your
child at the DISV Summer Camp!
