Figure 7 shows that the pattern of fails in American International Group from January 1<br />

to September 30, 2008 is not consistent with any repeated pattern to prevent it from<br />

getting on the threshold list. In fact, there were no instances of any systematic pattern of<br />

manipulation above the threshold list criteria of 0.5% and AIG fails never reached the<br />

0.5% criteria during the entire period. Therefore, there is no evidence consistent with the<br />

stock being aggressively attacked by naked short sellers.<br />
