It is clear that the editor/author intends the reader to notice the<br />

correspondence between the first and last visions, and most scholars<br />

comment on this. It also seem clear that he misses some good opportunities!<br />

And we must assume that he was not concerned to produce a<br />

highly complicated correspondence with no loose ends. 1 In this<br />

section, we have again discovered a concern for the structure of an<br />

individual unit, and for the overall pattern of 1.7-6.8.<br />
