It is plain from this that there are few possibilities of establishing con
nections with later chapters by means of common vocabulary. The
phrase 'know that Yahweh of hosts has sent me to you' has been dealt
with above. 1 Other repeated words are used differently, and the connections,
if there are any, are too subtle for us to prove an intended
link. Although 10', referring to the founding of the temple in 4.9 and
8.9, confirms the importance of the founding of the temple in the
mind of the prophet, it does not seem to be used as a marker for
structure. The only supporting link is n^tf, 4.9 and 8.10, but the first
of these is part of the phrase noted above, and thereby links with 6.15.
Bearing in mind that the phrase 'know.. .sent me to you' links the
