Leo Wunderlich was an employee representative member of the Supervisory Board until June 30, <strong>20</strong>10. After<br />
his retirement from the <strong>Bank</strong>, he was replaced by Peter Kazmierczak, his elected substitute, for the remainder<br />
of the term of office. Mr. Kazmierczak was first elected to the Supervisory Board in <strong>20</strong>02 and his first mandate<br />
ended in <strong>20</strong>03. He was again a member of the Supervisory Board from <strong>20</strong>06 to <strong>20</strong>08. Heidrun Förster was a<br />
member of the Supervisory Board until July 31, <strong>20</strong>10. Stefan Viertel followed her as her elected substitute for<br />
the remainder of the term of office.<br />
Dr. Clemens Börsig was a member of the Management Board of <strong>Deutsche</strong> <strong>Bank</strong> AG until May 3, <strong>20</strong>06. Dr. Börsig<br />
has declared that he would abstain from voting in his function as member of the Supervisory Board and its<br />
committees on all questions that relate to his former membership of the Management Board and could create a<br />
conflict of interest.<br />
In accordance with the German <strong>Bank</strong>ing Act, members of the Supervisory Board must be reliable and have the<br />
expertise required to perform their control function and to assess and supervise the businesses the company<br />
operates. While taking these requirements into account in accordance with Section 5.4.1 of the German Corporate<br />
Governance Code, the Supervisory Board established the following objectives for its composition, which<br />
have also been specified in Section 4 of the Terms of Reference for the Supervisory Board<br />
