are apparent. There are no running boards on the<br />

Sixty Special. The distance from the car floor to the<br />

ground is only ^/% of an inch higher than from running<br />

board to the ground on the previous Series 60, hence<br />

one takes one easy step directly into the car. Instead<br />

of running boards, three parallel stainless steel mouldings<br />

finish off the lower edge of the body. The rear<br />

fenders are almost entirely within the body itself.<br />

Road clearance for the Sixty and Sixty Special is<br />

nearly the same. The Sixty Special's complete body<br />

structure has been brought down to the low point<br />

of the chassis, primarily through the use of a doubledrop<br />

frame.<br />

In order to achieve both lowness and extensive<br />

vision in the Sixty Special, several departures from<br />

conventional body construction have been made. One<br />
