contributing to strength and rigidity is of highest grade<br />

steel.<br />

Fleetwood<br />

I nspection<br />

Fleetwood coachwork includes most thorough weather<br />

and sound insulation. Two noteworthy improvements<br />

have been made for <strong>1938</strong>. A heavy rubber mold is<br />

cemented to the inner top position and completely<br />

down the back wall of the trunk. The mold prevents<br />

transmission of sound to the interior of the car.<br />

Two thicknesses of asphalt treated felt are applied to<br />

the solid steel floor for protection against heat and cold.<br />

The floor is also scientifically indented against sound<br />

resonance and these identations are filled with felt<br />

material. Covering the floor insulation is the new heavy<br />

pile plush carpeting which provides weather insulation<br />

as well as rich atmosphere in the rear compartment.<br />

The combination of all-steel construction, Turret<br />

Top and thorough insulation and sound proofing provide<br />

the <strong>Cadillac</strong> Fleetwoods with a degree of safety and<br />

comfort exclusive among fine cars.<br />

DIGNIFIED STYLING<br />

The luxuriousness of Fleetwood coachcraft is apparent<br />

in their exterior styling. One is at once impressed with<br />

the modern dignity of the new Fleetwoods and their<br />

generous proportions about which there is no air of<br />
