B. Rate the degree of implementation for each indicator.
Instructions: This section contains columns to indicate responses that range from Low Fidelity (lowest), followed by
Needs Improvement, Satisfactory, and High Fidelity (highest). For each indicator of implementation write the
response that best fits the amount of evidence seen that supports the scientifically based research strategy. The
five areas to be considered during the evaluation are teacher use, student use, documentation, assessment, and
student work. Provide an overall rating and discuss the degree of implementation that best fits the amount of
evidence observed.
Ratings Description:
Low Fidelity (LF) – indicator of the scientifically research‐based strategy is not observed during classroom visit. No
evidence of the indicator of implementation is observed.
Needs Improvement (NI) – teacher has acquired information about the indicator of the scientifically researchbased
strategy and is introducing the indicator into instruction. Limited evidence of the indicator of
implementation is observed. The indicator is observed in teacher practice but not in student behaviors.
Satisfactory (S) – partial evidence of the indicator of the scientifically research‐based strategy is observed. The
indicator is observed in teacher practice but not routinely in student behaviors.
High Fidelity (HF) – extensive evidence of the indicator of the scientifically research‐based strategy is observed.
Teacher modifies the indicator to ensure maximum benefits for students. The teacher integrates the scientifically
research‐based indicator into instruction seamlessly and routine use by the students is observed.
