This optional worksheet is designed to provide guidance in the planning of professional development activities in the action plan. Each of the questions in the left column should be
considered for each activity (whether initial pd or follow‐up).
• “Who is responsible?” addresses Rubric Guideline IV under Coordination of Resources.
• “Specific Participants?” addresses Rubric Guideline I under Professional Development.
• “Date? Job‐Embedded?” addresses Rubric Guideline II under Professional Development. Be as specific as possible concerning the date.
• “Relevance to strategy” is to ensure that the initial PD is directly tied to the implementation of the specific instructional strategy cited on the Action Plan page.
• “Classroom connection?” addresses Rubric Guideline II under Evaluation of Implementation.
The lines in the middle column are provided for drafting activities. Not all initial trainings will necessarily have three follow‐up activities; likewise, some initial trainings may have more
than three follow‐up activities.
The right column is provided to address both the instrument(s) for evaluating and the short‐term evaluation procedures (as cited in Rubric Guidelines I and II under Evaluation of
Implementation).
