of disparities in curriculum,
graduation requirements,

in the use of federal funds
and to encourage the
implementation
of effective strategies for all
students in a school

‐Funding for a reading coach at each
Reading First school program
‐New assessment tools
‐Family literacy programs
‐School supplies
‐Professional development programs for
teachers and other program personnel
‐Advocacy and outreach on education,
health, nutrition, and social services
‐Migrant parent advisory meetings
‐Professional development
‐Instructional supplies related to model
program
‐Start‐up financial assistance
