7.2 Record-Keeping<br />

Field records sufficient to recreate all sampling and measurement activities will be maintained and will<br />

meet all Environmental Restoration Program Information Management Systems data loading<br />

requirements. The requirements listed in this section apply to all measuring and sampling activities.<br />

Requirements specific to individual activities are included in the section that addresses each activity.<br />

The information will be recorded with indelible ink in a permanently bound notebook with sequentially<br />

numbered pages. These records will be archived in an easily accessible form and made available to the<br />

USAF upon request.<br />

The following information will be recorded in the log book for all activities:<br />

Location<br />

Date and time<br />

Identity of people performing activity and any visitors<br />

Weather conditions<br />

A summary of all site activities and level of personnel protection will be recorded in the log book. No<br />

erasures will be permitted. If an incorrect entry is made, the data will be crossed out with a single strike<br />

mark, and initialed and dated. At the completion of all entries for a given task or at the end of the day,<br />

the log book will be signed and dated.<br />

The following additional information will be recorded for all field measurements:<br />

The numerical value and units of each measurement<br />

The identity of and calibration results for each field instrument<br />
