Shut off and bleed down air hose before disconnecting air tools. Never point an air hose<br />

toward another person or yourself.<br />

Power tools must be GFCI-protected or double-insulated.<br />

Avoid using power tools in wet locations (air powered tools may be used).<br />

Protect all cords and plugs from damage. Assure that the power cord is well away from the<br />

operating portion of the power tool.<br />

All power tools must be turned off before disconnecting from power source. If a circuit<br />

breaker is tripped or the tool stops operating turn off the power switch before disconnecting<br />

the power source.<br />

Disconnect power cords from source before coiling.<br />

Refer to Section 4.3.5 regarding the use of extension cords.<br />

Unplug electric cords.<br />

Store in safe place when not in use. Protect from weather, dirt, and water.<br />

Be sure air space and walkway are clear before moving bridge or trolley.<br />

Inspect all rigging before use.<br />

A competent person must inspect all rigging and the crane before use and certify that crane is<br />

safe and positioned properly.<br />

A positive acting device will be used to prevent contact between the load block or overhaul<br />

ball and the boom tip (anti-two blocking device), or a system will be used that deactivates the<br />

hoisting action before damage occurs in the event of a two-blocking situation.<br />
