29-2.B.56. FLOOR AREA, NET (NFA): For the purposes of these Regulations, 85 percent of Gross FloorArea.57. FLOOR-AREA-RATIO: The gross floor area of all buildings on a lot divided by the lot area.58. FRONTAGE: The length measured along that side or sides of a lot abutting on a public street.59. FREQUENCY: The number of oscillations per second of a vibration.60. FUNERAL HOME: A building used for the preparation of the deceased for burial and the displayof the deceased and ceremonies connected therewith before burial or cremation.61. GARAGE, PRIVATE: An accessory building or portion of a principal building used for theparking and storage of motor vehicles and not available to the general public.62. GARAGE, PUBLIC: A building or portion thereof, other than a private garage or carport, or anyarea above or below grade used for the parking and storage of motor vehicles and available to thegeneral public.63. GRADE, AVERAGE FINISHED: The mean of the highest and lowest finished grade at the base orfoundation of the structure.64. GRADE, FINISHED: The final elevation of the ground surface after the completion of grading.65. GRADING: Any excavating, grubbing, filling (including hydraulic fill) or stockpiling of earth, or anycombination thereof, which results in a change of contour or elevation.66. GREENHOUSE: A building constructed mainly of glass or other transparent material, and used asa conservatory for the growing and protection of flowers or plants, and for the propagation andculture thereof.67. GROUNDWATER: Water in the subsurface area beneath the water table in which all open spacesare filled with water.68. GROUNDWATER RECHARGE AREA: That area from which water is added to the saturated zoneby natural processes, such as infiltration of precipitation, or artificial processes, such as inducedinfiltration.69. GROUP HOME, COMMUNITY CARE FACILITY: A residential facility which provides food, shelter,personal guidance and, to the extent necessary, continuing health-related services to mentallyretarded or autistic persons.70. GROUP DAY CARE HOME: An establishment which offers or provides a program ofsupplementary care to not less than seven nor more than 12 related or unrelated children on aregular basis for a part of the 24 hours in one or more days in the week.71. HANDICAPPED PERSONS: As applied to the congregate housing regulations herein, personswho have been determined to have physical impairments which: (1) are expected to be of long9
