29-2.B.149. STREET: An existing state or town highway, or a way shown upon a subdivision plat approvedby the Planning and Zoning Commission, as provided by law, or a way shown on a plat duly filedand recorded in the office of the Town Clerk prior to July 6, 1951, but not including privatedriveways or rights-of-way.150. STREET LINE: A common line between a lot and a street right-of-way.151. STRUCTURE: Anything constructed or erected, the use of which requires (1) location on, in orunder the ground or water or, (2) attachment to something having location on the ground orwater, including but not limited to: buildings, swimming pools, tennis courts, towers, paddle orplatform tennis courts, docks, balconies, open entries, porches, decks, handicap ramps, signs,permanent awnings, a gas or liquid storage tank that is principally above ground, groundmountedantennas, ground-mounted solar panels and satellite dishes, and fences or walls morethan six feet in height, other than retaining walls.152. STRUCTURE, ACCESSORY: A structure, the use of which is customarily incidental andsubordinate to that of the principal building, structure or use on the same lot.153. STRUCTURAL ALTERATION: Any change in or addition to the supporting members of astructure or building such as bearing walls, columns, beams or girders or other such workrequiring a building permit under the State Building Code.154. STUDY: A room located in an apartment, in addition to the living room, bedrooms, kitchen, diningroom and baths, which is not used primarily for sleeping.155. SWIMMING POOL: A water-filled structure, permanently constructed or portable, having a depthof more than 24 inches and a water surface area of more than 60 square feet, designed, used,and maintained for bathing or swimming.156. TAG SALE: The public sale of personal household goods by the owner thereof in conjunctionwith the cleaning out or vacating of residential premises. It does not encompass the sale of anygoods brought to the premises for the purposes of public sale. "Tag sale" shall also include"garage sale", "barn sale", "yard sale" and other similar activities.157. TEMPORARY STRUCTURE: A structure without any foundation or footings and which isremoved when the designated time period, activity or use for which the temporary structure waserected has ceased.158. TEMPORARY USE: A use established for a fixed period of time with the intent to cease suchuse upon the expiration of the time period.159. TERRACE OR PATIO: A level, landscaped and/or surfaced area located on the ground with nostructural supports other than subsurface base material and retaining walls. A terrace or patiolocated at grade or ground level shall not be deemed a structure.160. TOWER*: A structure, whether freestanding or attached to a building or another structure, that isused to support equipment used to collect, transmit and/or receive telecommunications or radiosignals. Examples include monopoles and lattice construction steel structures.16
