ZONING REGULATIONS OF THE TOWN OF WILTON, CONNECTICUT

29-4.D.k. Abandonment: Immediatenotification of discontinuance ofuse shall be made to the Town.The following shall apply to theremoval of abandoned Towersand related appurtenances:1. A pole, Tower, ortransmitting Facility not in use formore than 6 consecutive monthsshall be removed by the serviceFacility owner or its agents. Thisremoval shall be completedwithin 90 days after the 6-monthperiod. Upon removal, the siteshall be restored to its previousappearance. All cabling,Antennae and mountings mustalso be removed.562. The Commission shallrequire the posting of a cashbond with the Town to ensurethe timely and proper removal ofaTower and/or Antenna(s) and itssupporting base to a depth of notless than two feet below thegrade. Said bond shall be postedby the applicant prior to theissuance of a zoning permit forany proposed or modifiedTower/Antenna. Such bondshall be maintained by the Townuntil such time the Facility isremoved and site restored thesatisfaction of the Town. Therequired bond amount shall bedetermined by the applicant andreviewed by the Town foradequacy. In addition toassuming the cost of removaland restoration, the bond shallinclude a 25% contingency fee tooffset inflationary costs.
