29-2.B.112. PORCH: A structure, with or without a roof, projecting out from the wall or walls of a building,including a deck.113. PREMISES: A lot, parcel or tract of land together with the buildings and structures thereon.114. PRIMARY RECHARGE AREA: That area immediately overlying the stratified-drift aquifer andadjacent areas of stratified drift that may not have a sufficient saturated thickness to be part ofthe aquifer. The boundary of the primary recharge area is the contact between the stratified driftand adjacent till or bedrock.115. PRIVATE: Confined to, or intended, only for the person or persons immediately concerned.116. PRIVATE SCHOOL: Any building or group of buildings the use of which meets the State'srequirements for primary, secondary or higher education and which is not operated by the Townor State.117. PUBLIC: Belonging, or available, to all the people.118. PUBLIC AND SEMI-PUBLIC USE: A nonprofit or quasi-public use or institution such as a placeof worship, library, post office, hospital, school or facility of the Town, State, or FederalGovernment.119. PUBLIC SCHOOL: Any building or group of buildings the use of which meets the State'srequirements for primary, secondary or higher education and which is operated by the Town orState.120. QUANTITY: For the purpose of measuring the intensity of light, the amount of brightness, glareor luminescence for which these Regulations establish acceptable limits in terms of foot-candlesfor a point source and for an area source.121. RECREATION FACILITY: A place designed and equipped for the conduct of sports, leisure timeactivities and other customary and usual recreational activities.122. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY: Any laboratory engaged exclusively in thepursuit of scientific research and development, including the research and development ofmanufactured, processed or compounded products.123. RESIDENCE: A dwelling unit or group of dwelling units.124. RESTAURANT, SIT-DOWN: An establishment or use whose principal business is thepreparation and serving of food for consumption on the premises, primarily served by a waiter orwaitress at tables, booths or similar sit-down accommodations within the restaurant building.125. RESTAURANT, FAST FOOD: An establishment or use whose principal business is the sale ofpre-prepared or rapidly prepared foods, frozen desserts or beverages to the customer in a readyto-consumestate, primarily served in paper, plastic or other disposable containers, forconsumption within the restaurant building, elsewhere on the premises, or for carry-out ordelivery for consumption off the premises.13
