Each year, <strong>the</strong>government <strong>of</strong> Quebec sends <strong>the</strong> necessary data to <strong>the</strong> ASCC about co-ops <strong>in</strong>corporated <strong>in</strong>Quebec. <strong>Co</strong>nsequently, Quebec and <strong>the</strong> NWT are very well represented <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> database on<strong>Aborig<strong>in</strong>al</strong> co-<strong>operatives</strong>.Number <strong>of</strong> <strong>Co</strong>-opsResponse RateThe first <strong>Aborig<strong>in</strong>al</strong> co-op was<strong>in</strong>corporated <strong>in</strong> 1945 <strong>in</strong>Saskatchewan, do<strong>in</strong>g bus<strong>in</strong>ess<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> fish sector 4 .
