Article 12 Review ProceduresSection 12.13 Designation <strong>of</strong> Historic Buildings and ZonesSection 12.13ZonesDesignation <strong>of</strong> Historic Buildings and12.13.01 applicability<strong>The</strong> Urban Design Review Board must make a survey and study <strong>of</strong> the structuresand areas <strong>of</strong> the city and determine their historical or architectural merit <strong>of</strong> a degreewarranting their preservation as contributing or noncontributing structures indesignated historical areas. Persons from any organization or the general publicmay recommend a structure, area or site to the Urban Design Review Board forconsideration.12.13.02 applicationA. Applications for designation <strong>of</strong> historic structures, areas, and sitesmay be initiated by the owner <strong>of</strong> the subject property or the propertyowner’s authorized agent, or the Urban Design Review Board.B. Applications must be filed with the [Insert Official].12.13.03 Public Hearing noticeA. PublishedNotice <strong>of</strong> the time and place <strong>of</strong> all public hearings on the designation<strong>of</strong> historic structures, areas, and sites must be published at least oncein a newspaper <strong>of</strong> general circulation in the county. <strong>The</strong> requirednotice must appear in the newspaper aminimum <strong>of</strong> 15 calendar days before the publichearing.B.
